Chrisitan Schmutz is a resident psychiatrist with a variety of clinical and research experiences. His native language is English, and he also speaks Ukrainian, Russian, Tagalog, Spanish, and Japanese at varying levels of proficiency. He has done clinical work in the Philippines, and provides psychiatric evaluations to refugees seeking assylum status in the United States. He is a member of the AAGP with a special interest in geriatric psychiatry. He has lent his proficiency in statistics to various research projects at the University of Utah, including psychedelics, quality improvement, and intergenerational living. He completed a BS in Physiology and Developmental Biology at Brigham University, then an MD at the University of Utah School of Medicine where he was the recipient of the Lincoln Clark Award for Outstanding Performance in Clinical Psychiatry.
