MD, CPP
Dr. DeNagy, MD has practiced in the arena of psychiatric and complex medicine in Eastern Idaho for over thirty years. He specializes in difficult to diagnose clients that present with a wide variety of real world problems.
He was trained at Drexel University School of Medicine (formerly Hahnemann University) in Philadelphia, and completed Medicine Internship and Residency at The University of Vermont, in Burlington. He teaches continuing Education at the Department of Counseling at Idaho State University, and consults with a variety of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers.
He is also a waivered physician with regards to opiate addiction treatment and is licensed to prescribe buprenorphine for opiate addiction. He treats all forms of addiction. Interest areas include disorders of mood, and thought, as well as developmental disabilities and autism. He is certified as a Clinical Psychopharmacologist by the American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology.
He believes in a team approach to mental health treatment and works closely with other mental health providers to establish a comprehensive treatment program. Particular attention is paid to the detection and presence of confounding medical illnesses that may imitate, or worsen psychiatric illness.
